Short, playful practice away from the screen.
Ask “Show me something red.” Find one object of each colour, then say “It’s red.” Change the order and let your child give you a colour to find.
Use coloured blocks: red, blue, red… Ask “What comes next?” Start with two colours. Make a new pattern together.
Find a cup or a toy car. Say the word slowly, listen for /k/ and draw a big C and a small c in the air.
In class this week: colour vocabulary, “It’s…” sentences, Paint with Me, The Painters and a playful review.
Five to ten minutes is plenty. Pointing or copying an action is a good first step; help your child try a word or short sentence when they are ready.
